About Barry & the Challenge

Over the last 20 years of sharing Kevin's story, I have heard dozens of stories like mine. Stories of both loss and victory. It seems like everyone has a story, and telling those stories helps us all understand that we are not alone in this journey.

The Million Mile Challenge is a platform to tell those stories and to raise awareness around drug and alcohol abuse prevention. I believe that God put this on my heart. Sometimes being obedient takes us out of our comfort zone, even if we're 67 years old!
It came from our son Kevin's favorite movie, Lonesome Dove, with Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall. I don't want to give away the ending, so I guess you'll have to watch the movie.
Approximately 91 miles a week.
Absolutely. Please contact us at [email protected] with the details.
No. There is a button at the top that links to worthy non-profits. If you would like to add a non-profit to the list, please contact us at [email protected].
